When the mind is

at peace

the world too is

at peace.

Nothing real,

Nothing absent.

Not holding on

to reality,

nor getting stuck

in the void,

you are neither holy

nor wise, just

an ordinary fellow

who has completed

his work.

LAYMAN P'ANG

c. 740-808

'Silence and seclusion

are the secrets

of success.

In this modern

life of activity

there is only

one way to

separate yourself

from its ceaseless

demands..

get away from it

once in a while..

Ten thousand flowers

in spring, the moon

in autumn, a cool

breeze in summer,

snow in winter.

If your mind

isn't clouded by

unnecessary things,

this is the best

season of your

life.

Empty your mind

of all thoughts.

Let your

heart be at peace.

Watch the turmoil of

beings, but

contemplate their

return.

Each separate being

in the universe

returns to the

common source.

Returning to the

source

is serenity...

THE HEART IS THE SEAT OF THE MIND

What comes from the depths
Enters the depths
When water is still
The Reflection is clear
The mind is the surface of the heart
The heart is the depth of the mind

Yogic Solutions philosophy is founded in a living awareness of the value of yoga, massage, meditation and deep relaxation as essential ingredients in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This awareness is reflected within all aspects of Yogic Solutions services, that embrace the understanding that every living thing and manifestation is dependent on the circulation of prana, pure life energy, that acts as the natural wisdom which has the power to heal and regenerate.

Prana exists as the primary life giving quality energising our thoughts, actions, feelings, and is the essence of good health and therefore our consciousness.

This principle of conscious awareness is woven through my approach to Spa Consultancy as much as into guiding yoga
classes or giving one to one therapy and training therapists how to work in a balanced way to benefit clients as well as themselves

AYURVEDIC INFLUENCE

Yogic Solutions combines the wisdom of ayurveda with an eclectic approach to understanding the therapeutic power of pure ingredients sourced from plants and botanicals and how to utilize them within hands on spa rituals and treatments. The ancient practice of ayurveda, literally meaning 'Science of Life' and is based on balancing the 3 key principles known as the 'Tri-dosha', Kapha, Pitta and Vatta. The Tri Dosha are the natural elements on Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Space which make up the human body, the earth and the universe as we know it. Each one of us has a predominant 'dosha' (element) that governs our body, mind and emotions and ayurveda seeks to establish a healthy balance of all the elements within us to create optimum health through illness and through maintaining well being.

Ayurveda is the medicinal side of yoga and these two disciplines go hand in hand, and are indeed integrated into each other.  Yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) are a vital element of Ayurvedic therapy and a balanced diet, herbal medicine, cleansing and all aspects of ayurvedic massage are an important support for yoga practitioners.

Ayurveda believes that our good health is dependent on the balance of the Tri Dosha and therefore aims to re-balance these elements through the therapeutic use of plants and botanical substances, yoga, nutrition and general life-style

The Evolving Spirit of Beauty

We all have one thing in common; we all want to be happy, peaceful and free to express ourselves. Many people who may have ill health appear very peaceful, yet others who appear to be healthy in body, may be miserable or depressed. The mind influences us on every level and can be a great healer, or a destructive element in our lives.

Peace and feelings of wellbeing also creates beauty, a visible radiance and contentment that shines out from within, from beneath the surface. True beauty is more than skin deep. Scientific research has shown that those who practice regular deep relaxation or meditation actually have greater activity in the lobes of the brain that promote joy and serenity. This area of the brain is responsible for producing pleasure giving and pain relieving hormones such as endorphins and serotonin. Equally evident is that anxiety, anger and other negative states of mind create high levels of acidity in the body which are degenerative and corrosive, whereas peacful, generous states create a balancing alkalinity that is regenerative.

Your own inner pharmacy

This process is your own Inner Pharmacy that has been termed by neuro-scientists  `
psycho-neuro-immunology.`This means that the mind communicates to the body directly through the nervous system, which in turn influences the healthy functioning of the seven endocrine glands that secrete their hormones and life giving neuro-chemicals directly into the blood stream, which governs our immune system. These seven glands are directly connected to our seven key chakras which are naturally harmonised through meditation benefitting the physical well being through restoration of these subtle energy centres.
