HOLISTIC YOGA & MASSAGE THERAPY 

Combining hatha, pranayama and kundalini yoga asanas with yoga nidra (deep relaxation),Jacqualine takes a heart centered approach to practice integrating a meditative, deeply healing guidance that consciously allows the layers of tension and resistance from the body and mind to fall away, creating a balance of core strength, flexibility and centeredness. This state organically prevents the build up of stress amd negativity,often caused by day to day life,from causing further harm. On a deeper level, practice also helps to resolve feelings of seperation, pain, anxiety and isolation. As qualities of inner balance and self acceptance arise through the practice, a sense of belonging, peace and renewal are naturally restored.

Following a consultation I will assess the best approach to help you and create a tailored class to fulfil your personal needs and requirements. Working in this way directly supports the changes, growth and healing you wish to experience. These sessions are an excellent way to also receive life-coaching on a fundamental level of self-awareness and as a preliminary session to familiarise you with yogic philosohpy and practice. Courses are recommended and can help many conditions as well as the following..

Focus on Meditation
Meditation is at the very heart of yoga practice, and indeed the purpose of yoga was designed as a preparation for meditation, when your nervous system, muscles, and internal organs are brought into a calm sense of equilibrium creating a balanced foundation for concentration on the more subtle aspects of the mind, and of being.
The benefits of meditation are becoming more and more respected and acknowledged as the key to preventing and dissolving psychological stress whihc in turn calms many phsysical symptoms of stress such as heart disease and diabetes.
We all have one thing in common; we all want to be happy. Many people who may have ill health appear very happy, yet others who appear to be healthy in body, may be unhappy. The mind can be a great healer, a powerful and effective influence in our lives.

Happiness also creates beauty, a visible radiance and sense of peace that shines out from deep within one self, from beneath the surface. True beauty is more than skin deep. Scientific research has shown that those who practice regular deep relaxation or meditation actually have greater activity in the lobes of the brain that promote joy and serenity. This area of the brain is responsible for producing pleasure giving and pain relieving hormones such as endorphins and serotonin. Equally evident is that anxiety, anger and other negative states of mind create high levels of acidity in the body which are degenerative and corrosive, whereas happy, generous states create a balancing alkalinity that is regenerative.

This process is your own Inner Pharmacy that has been termed by neuro-scientists  `psycho-neuro-immunology.`This means that the mind communicates to the body directly through the nervous system, which in turn influences the healthy functioning of the seven endocrine glands that secrete their hormones and life giving neuro-chemicals directly into the blood stream, which governs our immune system. Guided Meditations will help you achieve this state. 

One to one sessions in various meditations are offered that support your lifestyle, orientation and overall well-being.

My approach incorporates ayurvedic yogic massage techniques, with deep acupressure, soothing strokes and energy balancing to embrace truly holistic body- mind therapy for your total wellbeing. Through many years of giving, exploring, training and healing I aim to work with your unique body and energy field to create a rewarding therapeutic and balanced healing massage .
